Both Sania Sultana Liza and Yousuf Ahmed Khan
started their career in music professionally in 2008. On that year, Liza became the champion of Close Up 1 -Tomakey Khunjchhey Bangladesh, while Yousuf was top 5 contestants of Channel i Serakontho. Liza has already established her position in the field of music rendering many original songs and also performing in many stage shows in and outside the country. Basically she has now become one of the popular singers of present generation in the country. On the other hand, son of Ustad Yakub Ali Khan, Yousuf has also established himself. Now he has concentrated to render original song. For the first time, Liza and Yousuf lent voices for a duet song titled Golaper paprite duti haat, which will be aired on BTV’s coming Eid festival. Munshi Wadud wrote lyrics of the song while Sheikh Sadi Khan composed its tune. Rafiqul Alam and Abida Sultana were main singers of the song.
Recording of the song has already done at BTV’s studio recently. Liza and Yousuf-rendered this song will be telecasted in a programme titled Smritir Surovi Gaan-e
Gaan-e in Eid. While talking about the song Liza said, “We attended in two separate reality shows. When I got the opportunity I watched Yousuf participated episodes. Yousuf was seen matured during that time. I always believed Yousuf was the champion in the contest.
It was really challenging to render song under Sheikh Sadi Khan Sir’s composition. When I get any call to
render under Sadi Sir’s composition, I agree without any hesitation despite having engagement with other works. To develop myself, I render his composed songs.
Lyrics of this song are really nice.”
Yousuf shared his feelings by this way, “It is no doubt Liza is a popular and talented singer of our generation. She remains sincere while rendering songs of renowned singers, music composers and play-back song. She has all kinds of qualities which are found in noted singers.
I really like her songs. I really enjoyed rendering song with her. I give thanks to Sadi Sir to give me the
opportunity to render the song with Liza.”
