Ustad Yaqub Ali Khan’s son Yousuf Ahmed Khan was known to Israt Jahan Lasmy for more than seven years. At last, they tied the nuptial knot. Their aqdh was held last year’s September 23. Their Gaye Holud was also held at a city restaurant on January 10 this year. Their post-wedding reception is scheduled to be held on January 17 at an auditorium in the capital’s Mohakhali area. It was said by Yousuf Ahmed Khan yesterday.
Yousuf also mentioned that his hometown is Nagorpur, Tangail while Lasmy is hailed from Pirojpur. After completing graduation and post-graduation from English Literature at University of Dhaka for some days Lasmy worked in a private mobile operator company. Later, she also worked in Deepto TV. Now she is busy with taking preparation for next BCS examinations.
Yousuf also said, “I have nothing much expectation. In fact, my parents sacrificed for me only for music. I want to present Bengali songs to all. Everybody pray for me as I can fulfill my parents’ dream. They can also remain well. Lasmy can also drawing well.”
