A young man was killed by alleged miscreants in Mollahat Upazila in the district for hijacking his motor cycle on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Gaur Biswas (20), son of one Gurupada Biswas of village Chilona within Raghunathpur area in Gopalganj .
Police of Mollahat PS arrested Babu Biswas, son of one Dulal Biswas of Mollahat Upazila from Banagram area in Gopalganj district on Wednesday in the evening in connection with his involvement in the murder.
Police and the locals said that on Tuesday in the evening accused Babu Biswas hired a motor cycle belonging to Gour Biswas from Gopalganj to reach Mollhat. At about 11 pm some locals found Gour Biswas unconscious and smeared with blood on the road side of Khulna-Mawa Highway near at Khalpar- Thakurbari area under Mollahat Upazila.
