A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Dhakshin Ali Nagar village in Mirsarai upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Kala Mia, 25, son of Alauddin of the village.
Alauddin, Sub-Inspector of Jorarganj Police Station, said being informed by family members, police recovered the hanging body from a tree near his residence this morning and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Kala Mia was a drug addict and he might have committed suicide out of frustration, he said.
