Young journalist Kazi Anwar Parvez Rana, 33, executive editor of Daily Ajker Barta, died at Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital after cardiac arrest recently.
He was second son of Kazi Nasiruddin Babul, former president of Barishal Press Club and founder of daily Ajker Barta.
Kazi Rana left his wife, parents, brothers and sisters and a lot of well wishers and relatives.
He was buried at family grave yard in Kashipur area of the city after namaje zanaja on Saturday noon attended by journalists, socio-political-cultural organizations, and local elites.
Barishal Reporters Unity, Barishal Press Club and members of different organizations of the city and district separately expressed their deep condolence for the sudden demise of young journalist Kazi Rana.
