A fire has broken out at a multi-storey building in the city’s Karwan Bazar since Friday afternoon.
Mizanur Rahman, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters control, said the fire originated on the 1st floor of the 3-storey building near TCB Bhaban at 4:30 pm.
On information, seven fire fighters units went to the spot and are trying to
bring the fire under control, at the time of filing this report at 5.15pm. The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, the FSCD duty officer added.
