Another case has been filed against Abdul Latif Siddiqui in Narayanganj for hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslims.
TAR Rafi Chowdhury, a resident of Chashara, filed the case against the sacked minister with Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, Magistrate KM Mahiuddin asked Abdul Latif to appear before it by November 30 to explain his stance.
Earlier on October 11, Advocate Shah Mazharul Haque, general secretary of Kadamrasul Poura unit of BNP in Bandar upazila, filed another case with the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court when Magistrate Chandni Rupon asked the sacked minister to appear before it court on December 9 to explain his comments.
At a views-exchange meeting with expatriates from Tangail in New York on September 28, Latif Siddique made disparaging remarks about hajj, one of the main pillars of Islam, and Tablig Jamaat.
