Yesmin Labonno: A dreamer in music arena

Many senior singers complain that among the new generation singers, number of singers who have melodious voice is few. Many audiences also complain this. But it is true that in new generation, there are many good singers. Audiences like their rendering styles and voices. Kona, Nancy, Nishita, Liza, Luipa, Zhilik, Konal, Oyshee, among others, have melodious voices. As a part of its continuation, Yesmin Labonno is another name. Basically Labonno is a singer but she is also expert in dancing. She completed courses in music and dance from Bulbul Lalitakala Academy. It is said that she is expert in rendering song and dancing simultaneously. Viewers, who are watching Maasranga TV’s regular show, Ranga Sokal, to them, Yesmin Labonno is a popular face. Labonno is anchoring in this channel for last five years.
Yesmin Labonno is a singer, dancer and anchor at a time. It is really tough and also challenging to expertise herself in these three sectors at a time.
According to her, she has been doing job at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy as a dancer since 2015. As a dancer, she will leave the country tonight to perform in Dubai Expo. She will return to Bangladesh on December 19. But Yesmin Labonno always feels comfortable to introduce herself as a singer. While talking in this regard she said, “I don’t know how much better I render songs but I try to render song correctly. In fact, I have many dreams with music. So, I am a dreamer in the field of music. I have full respect to my mentors in music and dancing. In the meantime, I am grateful to my family to give me inspiration all-time. I am also grateful to Shilpakala Academy family in this regard.”
Labonno’s first released original song was Sona Jadu, which was released in 2014. Till now she has released 25 original songs. Soon, Shafiq Tuhin composed Labonno rendered song titled Na Jani Na Shuru Kothai Shesh will be released. Born on June 6, Labonno got primary lessons in music from Panna Ahmed. Later, she also learned music from Rashidun Nabi and Salauddin Ahmed. Now she is receiving training from Ustad Ashit Dey. Labonno lent her voice for play-back songs in films Agnee and Aamar Prem Aamar Priya. After completing honours in English Literature from East West University, Labonno is now doing masters in Music from a private university.
