For the fourth time, Awami League (AL) and leftist parties-backed Yellow Panel won all the posts in the Chittagong University Teachers Association (CUTA) election held on Tuesday.
Prof of Botany Department MA Gafur, chief election commissioner declared the results in the afternoon.
Yellow Panel won the election while BNP-Jamaat-backed panel lost the election. The election started from 9:00am and ended at 1:30pm.
According to election sources, Dr AFM Aurangajeb of Management Department was elected as President while Sukanta Bhattacharjee, Associate Prof of English Department elected as General Secretary in the election.
