Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafes Osman on Wednesday handed over handrubs to the members of parliament (MPs) with an aim to protect them from the deadly coronavirus during the upcoming budget session of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
Whip of JS Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan received the handrubs gifts on behalf of the MPs at a simple ceremony held at the DRICM Auditorium of BCSIR.
Designated Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements (DRiCM) of Bangladesh Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (BCSIR) prepared the handrubs.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry Anwar Hossain, Chairman of BCSIR Farooq Ahmed and Director of DRICM Dr Mala Khan were also present.
It is mentioned that DRICM, an international standard reference laboratory of BCSIR under the administration of the Ministry of Science and Technology, has prepared the hand disinfectant as a strategy to prevent coronavirus health risks in the country.
