Mohammad Ali Yakub Ali School emerged as the champions of the Fiji Friendship Cup School Rugby Competition when they beat Saint Gregory’s High School by 36-9 points in the final at the Paltan Maidan on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Agargaon Taltola Government Colony High School finished third when they blanked Cambrian School by 29-0 points in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
After the final match, National Sports Award winner kabaddi player and kabaddi coach Md Abdul Jalil distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Abdullah Al Jahir Shawpan, General Secretary of BRF Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Sayeed Ahmed, PS to Chairman of National Sports Council and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Rashiduzzaman Serniabat were present at the time.
