Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) – 9 Special Company Members seized 10 thousand pieces of yaba tablet and arrested two drug peddlers from Moglabazar, Sylhet. They are Muhammad Abdus Samad (26), Jahed Ahmed (21).
Acting on a secret information on Friday at 4.30 p.m. RAB-9 contingent raided the spot, arrested the aforesaid two persons from a CNG infront of Sreerampur passenger shed. RAB-9 personnel also searched the CNG auto rickshaw and seized 10,025 pieces of yaba from the toolbox. Its market price is taka 50 lakh 12 thousand 500. Before that two more passengers managed to flee away. They are Badrul Haque s/o late Sanwar Ali vill:- West Beur , Zakigonj and Parban Hussain (32) s/o Moraddar Ali , Gotatikor. The seized goods and auto with arrested persons were handed over to Moglabazar thana, RAB-9 Senior Additional Director (Media) ASP Muhammad Moniruzzaman informed.
