Chittagong Metropolitan police rounded up Yaba lord named Md. Sahed alias Sandwip Saheb from Isanagar area under Karnaphuli thana on Monday evening .
Clash of firing and counter firing held between the accomplices of Yaba king Shahed and the police members .
In the clash four police members injured. Deputy police commissioner(Port) Harunur Rashid told that while police conducted drive for arresting the yaba icon there, the accomplices of the drug peddler fired at police and burled bricks and stones to police forces caused four police members received injuries.
Yaba icon Shahed was lastly arrested with injured position, police sources said.The injured police members are – SI Jahid, SI Shahdat, Shah Alam and Saiful. Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Mostaque Ahmed told the media that on Sunday , two accomplices of yaba icon were arrested from the same area and as per their confession, police conducted raid on Monday to apprehend him.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital police camp in-charge SI Jahirul Islam told that injured police members now undergoing treatment in the hospital and the arrested Yaba king Shahed is also under treatment at Casualty ward of the hospital. Case against them lodged under narcotics act, sources said.
