Detectives of Chittagong Metropolitan Police yesterday arrested a man who was carrying 7,200 yaba pills concealed in a wall clock in Bakalia area of the city.
The arrestee is Borhan Uddin, 32, son of Tayebur Rahman, from Rajapur of Jhalakathi.
On information, the detective branch (DB) of police apprehended Borhan from in front of Notun Bridge Police Box near Shah Amanat Bridge and found the pills from inside a black digital wall clock in his possession, said DB Inspector Humayun Kabir.
Borhan collected the pills from Cox’s Bazar for delivering those in the city to one Apu Ahmed, who is yet to be arrested, Humayun said, adding that a case was filed in this connection.
