Dilara Hashem, eminent writer of Bangladesh, died in Washington, United States. She was 86.
She breathed her last on Saturday afternoon (local time).
Dilara, also a journalist, was born on August 21, 1936, in Jessore, East Bengal, now Bangladesh. She obtained graduation in 1956 from the English department at Dhaka University. Then, she joined the then Radio Pakistan.
