A writ petition was filed with the High Court on Wednesday challenging the legality of police drive against tinted glasses in vehicles.Advocate Manzill Morshed filed the writ petition on behalf of Supreme Court lawyers Asaduzzaman Siddique and Eklas Uddin. The bench of Justice Mirza Hussain Haider and Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker fixed Sunday for hearing.In the wake of growing incidents of abduction across the country, the Home Ministry on April 30 issued a circular banning the use of black/colorful/non-transparent/mercury glasses in all modes of vehicle.The circular also asked for the removal of such glasses by May 10. Police launched the drive in the capital on May 11.
