When swimming and weightlifting teams are preparing to set for Bangladesh, a three-member of Bangladesh wrestling team expected to arrive here today (Tuesday) to take part in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Wrestler M Amzad Ali will vie in the men’s 74 kg free style event on April 12 while other Bangladeshi wrestler Shirin Sultana will compete in the women’s 68 kg free style event on April 13. Coach M Tabiur Rahman is the other member of the Bangladesh wrestling team.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh fastest woman Shirin Akter will take part in the 200m run in Carrara Stadium today (Tuesday). The final of the event will be held on April 12. Earlier Shirin and fastest man Mesbah Ahmed both have made exit from heat in 100m run.
Bangladesh swimming and weightlifting teams leave for Bangladesh today (Tuesday) after completing their respective events in the games. Bangladesh athlete team will leave for country on April 13 while shooting and wrestling team will depart for country on April 16.
