The novel coronavirus keeps expanding its lethal grip across the country.
Gazipur, Narsingdi and Kishoreganj are the three new hotspots of infection after Dhaka city and Narayanganj.
The first corona patient was identified in Narayanganj. Since then, the district has been marked as hotspot for infection.
Earlier, Dhaka city and Narayanganj only had witnessed a large number of cases. After that more and more patients are being identified.
Gazipur, Narsingdi and Kishoreganj districts are now vulnerable to infection due to spread from Narayanganj, according to Health Ministry.  
The total number of affected people from these four districts, including Narayanganj, was 937.
“If the people are not aware, the situation is likely to worsen,” said Health Department officials.
In Gazipur, 107 people were identified in a single day and a total of 269 people were infected, said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Tuesday.
“Among the infected, seven were doctors, and 31 health workers and member of law enforcement agencies,” said the IEDCR.
Our Gazipur Correspondent quoting Khairuzzaman, Civil Surgeon of Gazipur, said a total of 32 policemen under Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) and Gazipur district tested Covid-19 till Tuesday morning.
Deputy Commissioner SM Tariqul Islam said that the Gazipur district was at risk due to the general peoples unconsciousness. People’s movement is not going to be stopped even after the lockdown.
After that, Kishoreganj is ahead of the transmission. So far, 146 people have been identified in the district. Two of them, one from Karimganj and Hosseinpur Upazila each have died.
Hosseinpur Upazila put under lockdown on Tuesday night. Our Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj said that at least 67 more men were infected in Karimganj in last 24- hours till Tuesday afternoon, taking the number of Corona cases in the district to 141.
Forty-one are physicians, 19 nurses and 42 hospital staff number of different hospitals, said Civil Surgeon Dr.Mujibur Rahman.
According to the Civil Surgeon Office and IEDCR, the Upazillas are Tarail 21, Sadar 11 , Kuliarchar 7 , Katiadi 11, Mitamoion 19, Austagram three, Hosseinpur two and Nikli one
Civil Surgeon of Kishoreganj Dr. Mujibur Rahman said that they sent 101 samples from virus testing and received 67 people’s positive cases.
Administration locked down three hospitals of Kishoreganj after 41 doctors,10 nurse and health employees infected with coronavirus.
Meanwhile, 30 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours as of Monday, taking the total number of cases to 135 in Narsingdi district, reports our district correspondent.
Imrul Kayes, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief of Narsingdi Coronavirus Prevention Emergency Cell, said the confirmed cases now stand at 134.
Doctors, engineers, government project officers, health directorate officials, journalists and children are among the infected people, said Civil Surgeon Dr Ibrahim Titon.
Dhaka has 1216 corona infected patents, the highest among the districts, followed by 387 in Narayanganj.
