With the theme “Big Data for Big Impact”, World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) will be observed today in Bangladesh along with other countries in the globe.
Marking the day, posts and telecommunications division and its affiliate organizations have chalked out elaborate programmes across the country to raise awareness on the possibilities that the use of the Internet and ICT can bring to societies and economies, as well as the ways to bridge the digital divide.
A rally and road show would be brought out from the Suhrawardy Udyan in the morning which is scheduled to parade different streets in the city.
State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim will inaugurate the event.
