Renowned writer Hasan Azizul Haque on Thursday said, the proper practice of philosophy and ethics will awake good sense in the human beings. To uphold the status of humanity, welfare state and acquired freedom it will play the pioneering role, he added.
He uttered this as the chief guest at a function organized by the Department of Philosophy of Dhaka College.
Professor Md. Moazzam Hossain Mollah, Principal of Dhaka College chaired the function, while Dr. Sahana Bilkis, Associate Professor of Philosophy Department presented the keynote paper.
Dr. Galib Ahsan, former Professor of Dhaka University and Professor Fatima Johra, Chairman of Philosophy Department of Dhaka College spoke, among others. Professor Sahina Akter Banu and Lecturer Zinan Binte Zaman conducted the function.
Rasida Akhter Khanam, former Professor of Dhaka University, Shamim Ara Begum, General Secretary of Dhaka College Teachers’ Council and the teachers and students of various departments were also present at the function.
Before the function, the teachers and students brought out a rally on the campus.
