World Hockey (Men’s) League Round 2 begins on March 4

World Hockey (Men’s) League Round 2 begins on March 4 at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium. Bangladesh Hockey Federation will arrange the prestigious hockey meet.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in the hockey competition. Bangladesh, Malaysia, Oman, Fiji have been placed in Pool-A, while China, Ghana, Egypt, Sri Lanka have been billed in Pool-B.
Regarding the ensuing hockey meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Khaja Rahmatullah, Joint-Secretary of BHF Anvir Adil Khan and Adviser of ATN Bangla Mir Motahar Hossain were present at the conference, among others.
Bangladesh will take on Malaysia in their first Pool-A match on March 4 at 4.00 pm, Bangladesh will face Fiji in their second Pool-A match on March 5 at 4.00 pm, Bangladesh will meet Oman in their third Pool-A match on March 7 at 4.00 pm.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Taka one crore, while FIH has given US dollars 1000 to BHF. The sponsors of the hockey meet FMC and Index Group will provide rest of the money.
The tournament will come to an end on March 12.
