Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Today is the World Father’s Day. This day was first marked in Washington DC in USA in 2010. Despite having coronavirus situation in the world like other countries Bangladesh will mark the day. Popular celebrities of the country expressed their views about their fathers. This correspondent presented their stories below:
I will be buried on my father’s graveyard: Bobita
My father always remains in my mind. Everybody says I was brought up with the ideology of my father. After four months of my marriage my father ASM Nizamuddin Ayub died. During that time I was mentally broken down. I have many memories with my father. I am always organized and fashion trendy which I got from my father. When father came from office I made betel leaf to feed him and also urged my demands. He discussed with us about films. From that I got inspiration for acting in the film. Later when I started to take part in shooting of Satyajit Ray’s Ashani Sanket he inspired me a lot. Before starting my shooting he exchanged letters with Satyajit Ray in English. By this way a nice relationship was developed between them. When I was a student of Class-I, he bought a dictionary for me. During that time we were in Bagerhat. He is idol to me. I want my dead body will be buried on my father’s graveyard in Banani.
My father is Allah’s great blessing to me: Ishita
My father Rashid Ahmed Khan is an architect. My father is the only person in the world who loved me a lot because I am his daughter. To satisfy him, I did not score good result in the school’s examinations, not to become winner at Notun Kuri and not to act in TV plays. However he loved me a lot. He gave me support to do anything what I wanted. He is also cause of my pleasure. He is the best father. He is Allah’s great blessing to me.
My father has full confidence on us: Mehazabien
During the present corona situation I have request to my father to take care of him. He should out of all types of frustrations now. He should not tense about world’s present situation. I think to remain well is the important thing now. My father is a super hero to me because he did a lot for us. Most important thing is that he has always full confidence on us. He always inspired me to go to the top. He also gave me freedom in case of my study. Overall, I hope my parents remain well now.
I want to acting with my father in a common frame: Ankhi Alamgir
My father can tell me I was brought up with his ideology. My father is a full-fledged human being. It is really difficult to be like him. Every child has separate identity as a person though their parents want to establish them by their way. We all siblings are mentally attached with our father. My father has courage to do anything. Now I am matured but still I have accountability to him. I really feel proud to be his daughter. During corona I pray for my parents remain well. Many persons asked me why I do not acting. I want to tell them if I get the opportunity for acting I will do it with my father in a common frame.
I became honest and modest like my father: Poppy
When I started acting I did not get any support from my family as they were conservative in mind. From the very beginning my father had no support in this regard. When I started acting in good story based films and also acted well then he started to give me support. Later I concentrated to acting more after getting his inspiration. My father talks a little bit. He was present in many shooting spots of my acted films. I do not talk unnecessarily which I got from my father. Everybody pray for my father.
My father is my strength
and inspiration: Tareen
My father is my hero. Few years ago, I rendered a song dedicated to my father. My father is an honest person. I want to follow his honesty in every work of my life. My father was an engineer in PWD. He was so honest that he has no house in Dhaka. His full life was dedicated to all’s well. He always tells us to do something for all without any interest. He is my strength, my inspiration. I feel proud of him.
Father still calls me
Apu: Apurba
My father was a police officer. I was brought up with his ideology. He wanted to gather us in a common frame. There is no alternative of family bondage which I learnt from my father. I want to replicate it to my son. I think family learning is the primary education for all. My father still calls me Apu.
I am daughter of Gazi Mazharul Anwar; it is my
pride: Dithi Anwar
From childhood I saw my father was dedicated to the country and its people which always inspired me. Now I am busy with husband, my two sons and music. I had planned to do politics in future. I want to do something for the country and its people like my father. I am daughter of Gazi Mazharul Anwar, it is my pride. My father knows everything of my life. I can share everything with him. Everybody pray for my father.
I have forgiveness like
my father: Kona
From childhood I have good friendship with my father.
I shared everything with him. When I was a student of Moghbazar Girl’s School I along with my elder sister and father travelled by rickshaw. Now I miss those days. My Kona name was given by my maternal uncle. I always remain honest in my profession and work. I have forgiveness like my father. When I perform in any stage show my father informs me sending SMS that audience wants to see dancing songs from me. I enjoy this.
I can’t imagine my world without father: Mim
As my father was a professor so I saw many persons respected him. When he watches my acting and viewers enjoy it he gets pleasure. It is really tough to give pleasure to audience with acting. During childhood he called me Tuktuki. Later he called me Babu, which is still being called by him. When my first acting against Riaz Bhai in Humayun Ahmed’s film I got Tk 5,000 as remuneration which I fully gave to him. Basically I can’t imagine anything without him. n
