World Day against Child Labour will be observed across the country tomorow as elsewhere in the world.
This year, the theme of the day is “End child labour in supply chains – It’s everyone’s business.”
In observance of the day, different government and non-government organizations including Labour and Employment Ministry and International Labour Organisation (ILO) have taken various programmes at different places in the country including the capital.
Marking the day, ILO is organising a round table discussion at Jatiya Press Club on June 11. State Minister for Labour and Employment Ministry M Mujibul Haque will attend as the chief guest.
World Vision is organising a discussion on working and street children at Chhayanat in the city on June 12.
Labour and Employment Ministry has instructed all deputy commissioners to observe the day in a befitting manner.
