Football is the most popular game in Bangladesh. Marking the forthcoming greatest show in the earth, the purchasing of sports goods has increased in the city. The football fans are buying jerseys and other sports goods, which they like most.
Some of them support Brazil, some support Argentina, some support Germany, some support England, some support Italy and some others support Portugal.
This reporter talked to a salesman of a noted sports
goods shop of the city on Friday. Md Jinnah, who has been working as a salesman for a long time said, “We are selling jerseys of Brazil, Argentina and other nations. Most of the buyers like the jerseys of Brazil and Argentina.”
A set (jersey+shorts) costs Tk 850. The jerseys are made in Indonesia.
Besides, they sell duplicate of Brazuca ball. Every ball costs Tk 1500.
They sell products for Tk 60,000 to Tk 70,000 everyday. The sell has increased on the occasion of the ensuing World Cup Football 2014.
It may be mentioned that the hawkers of the city are selling a jersey at Tk 150 to 200. But those are totally duplicate and also of lower quality.
