The 2015 FIFA Club World Cup will be the 12th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, a FIFA organised international club football tournament between the champion clubs from each of the six continental confederations, as well as the national league champion from the host country. The tournament will be hosted by Japan between 10-20 December 2015.
Sanfrecce Hirishima from Japan, Auckland City from New Zealand, Barcelona from Spain, River Plate from Argentina, America from Mexico, Guangzhou Evergrande from China and TP Mazembe from DR Congo are taking part in the tournament to prove the best soccer club in the world to be held in Japan from December 10 to 20.
Nagai Stadium in Osaka and International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama have been named as the two venues that would be used in the tournament.
On the opening day, hosts country’s Sanfrecce will take on Auckland, the winners whereof will face TP Mezembe on December 13 and the winners of this match will take on River Plate in the semifinals on December 16 in Osaka.
In the other zone, America will clash with Evergrande on December 13, the winners whereof will meet Barcelona in the semifinal on December 17 in Yokohama. Undoubtedly, Barcelona are the hot favorites to win the trophy amidst conspiracy to destroy football.
Japan has so far hosted seven of the 11 FIFA Club World Cups and The first FIFA Club World Cup was held in 2000 in Brazil.
