The government has already undertaken a plan to establish a modern and world class science and technology museum in the country, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman said on Tuesday.
“To set up the museum, a feasibility project involving Taka 1.95 crore is under-implementation from July 2015 to December 2016,” he said in reply to a written query from treasury bench member Mamtaz Begum (Manikganj-2).
The minister said most of the work of the feasibility scheme titled “Study Project for Establishing a World Class State-of-the-Art Science and Technology Museum” has been completed.
Through finishing the work of the project, he said, the development project proposal (DPP) of the main scheme titled “World Class Science and Technology Museum” would be framed.
“It is expected that the work on implementation of the main project would commence in 2017-18 fiscal year,” Yeafesh added.
