The World Children’s Day-2019 will be observed in the country today ( Monday) while Children Rights Week will also begin on the same day.
The theme of this year’s day is ‘Today’s Children will bring the light, keep the world better’.
The government has taken elaborate programmes across the country, marking the World Children Day and Children Right Week.
To mark the day and week, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Bangladesh Shishu Academy have taken elaborate programmes from October 7 to October 14.
The programmes include holding discussions, cultural programmes, magic show, art competitions, award-giving ceremony, rallies of the unprivileged children, publishing journals, leaflets, booklets, poster, and special supplements in different national dailies.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate World Children Day and Children Right Week at Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium on October 09 at 10 am.
