The World Bridge Contest begin today (Friday) simultaneously 122 countries of the World at the Engineers Recreation Club Institute of Engineers Ramna.
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, MP, is expected to inaugurate the meet the chief guest at 3.30 pm.
Bangladesh Olympic Association secretary general Syed Shahed Reza will distribute the prize after the competition.
The day-long competition will be played in north-south and east-west pair. A total of 100 bridge players are expected to take part in 50 pairs. The cash prize of Taka one lakh has been kept for two categories.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Thursday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association conference room to give all the details of the meet.
Bangladesh Bridge Federation president Mushfiqur Rahman and Engineer Recreation Club vice president Golam M Alamgir were, among others, present on the occasion.
