A three-member delegation led by Dr Poonam Pillai, Senior Manager in the Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Unit-South Asia of the World Bank called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university.
Other team members were Dr Mannava Sivakumar, Consultant of the World Bank and World Meteorological Organization and Arati Belle, Senior Climate Change and DRM Consultant of the World Bank. Professor of DU Soil, Water and Environment Department Dr AHM Mustafizur Rahman was present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including climate change, food security and disaster management in South Asia.
