Today is the World Aids Day, and like every year it will be observed across the country as elsewhere in the globe in line with the health safety regulations.
The day is being been observed since 1988 to create mass awareness against Aids across the world. According to the UN declaration, the involvement of people from all walks of life is very important to eradicate AIDS by 2030, reports BSS.
According to the Global HIV & AIDS statistics, 34 million people globally were living with HIV and 35 million people so far died of AIDS. Health and Family Welfare Ministry will organize a discussion at the auditorium of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons at 11am tomorrow. Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque will address the programme as chief guest.
