The World Accreditation Day will be observed in the country like elsewhere in the world today.This year, the theme of the day is ‘Accreditation: Delivering Confidence in the Provision of Energy.’
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages wishing success of the day.
In his message, the President said accreditation plays an important role in trade and business in the current globalize world.
Accreditation ensures quality of products and services, which is very important to the importers, traders and buyers, he added.
The President hoped that the Bangladesh Accreditation Board would maintain international standard and play more effective role in expansion of country’s trade and business abroad.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted Bangladesh Accreditation Board, development partner agencies and the beneficiaries on the occasion of World Accreditation Day.
She said the liberalization of global economy has created both the challenges and opportunities for the developing countries, she said.
The developing countries can avail of this opportunity by entering the global market with their product and services, she added.
The Prime Minister said the theme of the day this year is very much time befitting.
The government is generating energy and doing the difficult job of reaching that energy to the people quickly, she added.
She hoped that Bangladesh Accreditation Board would help
development of individuals and organizations working at different
levels of energy management.
