The World Accreditation Day-2016 was observed across the country like elsewhere in the world.
This year, the theme of the day is “‘Accreditation: A global tool to support Public Policy”.
President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages wishing success of the day.
In his message, President Abdul Hamid said the role of accreditation is very important to ensure quality of products and services.
In a message on the occasion of the World Accreditation Day-2016, he said the necessity of quality healthcare and social services is increasing to meet demand of gradually increasing population.
The accreditation could play an important role in facing the challenges, he added.
In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the role of Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) is important to promote standardization by enhancing capacity of services providing organizations and individuals.
