A two-day long workshop on ‘Introduction to Python Programming and Biopython begins at Chittagong Veterinary And Animal Science Univsersity on Sunday .
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof.Dr. Goutom Buddha Das inaugurated the workshop as chief guest.
Resource person Mr. Shourab Das of Masechuetes Institute of Technology of USA conducted training program in the workshop.Mr. Shourab Das is the awardees of International Mathematics Olympiad and Asia Pacific Math Olympiad.
He is now engaged in research work in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science of MIT, USA. CVASU and Bangladesh Bio-Informative Computer Biology Association joint organised the workshop with cooperation of UGC Higher Education Project.
Some 19 trainees from different universities and research institutions participating the workshop.Director of Oral Health Institute Prof.Dr. AMAM Junaid Siddiqui presided over it. Among others, Prof. Dr. AkM Moniruzzaman Mollah of Asian University for Women, Dean of USTC Prof. Dr. Arifuzzaman, Director of Poultry Research centre of CVASU Dr. Paritosh Kumar Biswas, Research Director Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam Khan,Chief Scientific Officer of National Institute of Biotechnology Dr. Jahangir Alam spoke on the inaugural session of the workshop.
