University of South Asia held a workshop on public health PH) at its Banani campus in the capital.The university organized the workshop in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Disability and Development (AIDD) and CSF Global recently.
The workshop, aimed at highlighting the significance of PH approach to ensure the health rights of our people, was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Wadud Mondal.
Referring to growing importance of PH, the speakers demanded setting up of more academic institutions for offering degrees on PH in the country.
The event consisted of a series of interactive working sessions by resource persons such as Prof Dr MA Muhit, Chairman of the university, and Dr Gulam Khandaker, senior lecturer, University of Sydney, Australia.
The workshop titled ‘Public Health & Epidemiology: Application in Research and Program Planning’ was attended by participants from educational institutes, international and national students and other professionals.
