Green Architecture Cell (GrACe), Department of Architecture (DoA), BUET organised a two-day workshop on natural ventilation titled ‘Natural ventilation Techniques to Ensure Health and Comfort in Buildings’ from 22 -23 December at Dept of Architecture, BUET.
Different professional groups such as architects, designers, mechanical engineers, researchers and academicians actively participated in the event. The aim of the workshop was to provide participants with a good understanding of how to apply rules of thumb and simulation tools to assess natural ventilation of indoor spaces with respect to national (i.e. BNBC) and international (e.g. BREEAM and LEED) codes and standards and to recommend design strategies to incorporate natural ventilation satisfying both aesthetic and technical requirements.
