A three-day workshop on “Automation of Information Institution using Koha-ILS and MARC 21” was organized from 03-05 this month at Daffodil International University (DIU). DIU Library in association with jobsbd.com organized the workshop.
Dr Aminul Islam, Emeritus Professor and Founder Vice Chancellor, DIU was present in closing ceremony and distributed certificates among the participants as chief guest.
Dr M Nasiruddin Munshi, Professor, Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka and President, Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) and Prof Dr M Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, DIU were present in this ceremony as special guests. Md. Milan Khan, Librarian, DIU presided over the workshop and certificate awarding ceremony.
Prof Dr Aminul Islam said, Daffodil International University is the only university in Bangladesh who came forward for the first time to remove the Language barriers of Koha through Software department and we could remove almost 95 per cent barriers.
A Total of 20 participants from different public and private universities and institutions from all over the country attended the workshop.
