A three-day workshop titled ‘Researching and Teaching International Law in the Third World’ began on Thursday at Senate Hall on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus in Savar.
JU Law and Justice Department organized the workshop while Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated it as the chief guest, said a JU press release.
JU Law and Justice Department Chairman KM Mahsin presided over the inaugural function that was attended by Treasurer Professor Sheikh Manjurul Haque, professors of Dhaka University (DU) Law Department M Mizanur Rahman, Borhan Uddin Khan and Rahmatullah as special guests, the release added.
Professor of National University of Singapore (NUS) Law Department Anghie Antony and Professor of Birmingham University Mohammed Shahab Uddin presented key note papers in the workshop, it said.
