A daylong workshop on ‘Food Safety : Consumer perspective’ was held in the port city at Circuit house auditorium yesterday morning .
The workshop was inaugurated at 10 am.
Bangladesh Food Safety Network, Consumers Association of Bangladesh(CAB) and District Administration of Chittagong jointly organised the workshop. Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chittagong Kazi Khalilur graced the occasion as chief guest.
Chief executive officer of city corporation Kazi Safiul Alam, Divisional Director of Health Directorate in Chittagong Dr Alauddin majumder, Civil Surgeon of Ctg Dr M Sarfaraz khan Chowdhury attended the workshop as special guests.
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbahuddin Ahmed presided the workshop programs, a CAB sources said.
Chief Technical Advisor of FAO in Chittagong delivered keynote paper in it. Secretary of CAB , Chittagong Iqbal Bahar Sabery conducted the workshop.
President of ISDE and CAB, Chittagong chapter Nazer Hossain delivered the welcome speech.
