A workshop on “Flash Flood Forecasting and Early Warning System (FFFEWS)” was held in the Council Bhaban of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for developing a strong early warning system for flash flood.
The Institute of Water and Flood Management of BUET organised the workshop on Wednesday.
State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque was present at the programme as the chief guest with BUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Saiful Islamin in the chair.
LGED Chief Engineer Md Abul Kalam Azad and Director General of Bangladesh Water Development Board Engr. Md Mahfuzur Rahman were present as special guests.
