A workshop titled “Training on Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operation and Maintenance” was held at seminar room of Jahir Raihan Auditorium on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus in Savar on Saturday.
JU Environmental Science Department organized the workshop while Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam inaugurated it as the chief guest.
Chairman of the department Professor Dr Amir Hossain Bhuiyan presided over the inaugural function of the workshop, was also addressed by Pro-VC Professor Dr Abul Hossain and Treasurer Professor Sheikh Manjurul Haque.
Addressing the function, JU Vice-Chancellor underscored the need for ensuring proper water management and safe drinking water through making the people engaged in water management skilled and efficient.
She said there is no alternative to enhance the efficiency of the people, who are engaged in water management, to increase the supply of safe drinking water.
