To localize sustainable development goals, Dighi Union Parishad, Sadar Upazia of Manikganj District organised a vision-planning workshop on Ensuring of SDGs through localization of Sustainable Development Goals at community level at Dighi Union Parishad Hall Room recently
.Abdul Motin Mollah Chairman of Dighi Union presided over the workshop. Monjur Mohammad Shahariar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen ) of Manikganj was present as a chief guest.
Murshiqul Islam Shimul, Regional Coordinator of Hunger Project Bangladesh coordinate the vision-planning workshop. About 45 citizens of different level of community were present the workshop.
Chief Guest Monjur Mohammad Shahariar said, local government is the real actor of development and union parishad is the key actor for implementing development. But Union Parishad consist not more than 14 members.
Abdul Motin Mollah said, it is our constitutional duty to localize and implement the sustainable development. Salaha Islam, former vice chairman of SadarUpazila of Manikganj District, Md Pier Ali- Secretary of Dighi Union, MoriamAkter- sub assistant medical officer and meherTahaminDilroj- sub assistant agriculture officer were also present.
