The Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), University of Dhaka presented an end line survey findings of Friendship’s Disaster Risk Reduction project at a workshop held on Thursday.
The workshop unfolded that Friendship’s Community Initiated Disaster Risk Reduction (CIDRR) model has effectively strengthened disaster resilience in northern and southern climate vulnerable communities in Bangladesh
Friendship implemented the Disaster Risk Reduction project across 9 upazilas in Gaibandha, Kurigram, Patuakhali, Barguna and Satkhira districts from April 2014 to March 2017.
The End Line Survey of the project was conducted by The Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), Dhaka University.
The workshop on ‘Sharing Lessons Learned from Disaster Risk Reduction Project and Way Forward’ was jointly organized by The Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), University of Dhaka and Friendship at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University.
