Workshop on consumer rights, food adulteration held at JU

A workshop on Consumer Rights and Food Adulteration was held at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus to raise awareness to the student on Thursday.
Consumer Care Society (CCS) and Consumer Youth of JU (CYJU) jointly organised the workshop.
Presided over by the advisor of CY-JU and professor of JU Department of Public Health & Informatics Dr Abdur Rahman, the programme was attended by renowned scientist Professor Abdullah Al Mamun and Organising Secretary of Dhaka Reporters Unity Sheikh Jamal as the special guest.
Barun Kanti Saha, Principal Scientific Officer of Institute of Food Science and Technology under Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Tapos Kumar Das, teacher of Law and Justice and Polash Mahmud, Secretary of Consumer Care Society addressed at the programme, among others.
Barun Kanti Saha presented a slide presentation, where he showed how the foods are being adulterated in root level in Bangladesh.
