A workshop on Cochlear Implant Surgery, second phase organized by Development of Cochlear Implant Programme in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) was held at Shaheed Dr Milon Hall of BSMMU on Saturday.The programme was addressed, among others, by Secretary of Social Welfare Ministry Tarique-ul-Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Kamrul Hasan Khan and Programme Director Prof Dr Abul Hasnat Zoarder. While addressing Tarique said our government is very disabled-friendly and working sincerely to mitigate the sufferings of the disabled and the cochlear implant surgery as its part. In his address Kamrul urged all to come forward to help person with disabilities including hearing impaired. Hasnat gave welcome speech on the occasion.
