A day-long national workshop on the achievements of HEQEP will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city today.
Finance minister AMA Muhith will attend the inaugural ceremony of the workshop as the chief guest.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) is implementing the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of the Ministry of Education.
The purpose of the workshop is to share the objectives, activities and achievements of HEQEP with the stakeholders.
Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid will preside over the opening ceremony. A S Mahmaud, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Education, will be the special guest while UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan will deliver welcome speech. Dr Gaurnaga Chandra Mohanta ndc, Project Director of HEQEP will deliver vote of thanks at the inaugural ceremony.
Vice-Chancellors of different universities, representatives of the World Bank, professors, researchers, government officials, officials of UGC and HEQEP, representatives of media will take part in the event.
