A workshop on ‘De-Briefing-cum Decision Making’ of Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) Forum was held to share the feedback of CUB capacity project and CMDRR Project on Tuesday at Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Dhanmondi Office. Two representatives from each of 13 Member organisations of CMDRR forum and Indian non-government organisation ASK participated in the workshop.
DAM Executive Director and Advisor of CMDRR Forum Dr. M. Ehsanur Rahman was present as chief guest while ASK Director Aqueel Khan facilitated the workshop.
Cordaid is supporting various organisations in Bangladesh for implementation of CMDRR Projects since 2008. After the 1st Learning Cycle in Mymensingh in 2009, Bangladesh CMDRR Forum was established with 13 Cordaid-supported partners with an objective of collective sharing, learning and advocacy.
Concern Universal Bangladesh (CUB) has been implementing a “Capacity Building” Project, with financial support from Cordaid, with the objectives to mainstream CMDRR concept & approach within ongoing development activities of NGOs.
