Speakers in a workshop on Thursday stressed on checking early marriage. The workshop was held on ‘Communicative Activities for the Development of Children and Women (4th phase)’ at the conference room of the Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila parishad.Held with the upazila nirbahi officer Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen in the chair it was addressed by additional deputy commissioner (General) Dr. KM Quamruzzaman Selim as chief guest, upazila family planning officer Dr. Tarith Kumar Saha and district information officer Tajkia Akbari.Other issues like birth registration, health-sanitation and safe motherhood were discussed in the workshop.
Teachers, media workers, women members of UPs and NGO workers participated in the workshop.
