Speakers at a meeting today urged all to work together for combating the spread of coronavirus in Rajshahi region.
They made the call at the coordinated meeting organized by district administration at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office in Rajshahi.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Shariful Haque, Civil Surgeon Dr Enamul Haque and District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Aminul Haque.
Chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamidul Haque, the meeting urged all the authorities and agencies concerned including the law-enforcement agencies to come forward and work together to tackle the deadly virus.
Some major issues including creating awareness among the people and following of home quarantine and public gathering were discussed at the meeting.
DC Hamidul Haque, through video conferencing, asked all the nine Upazila Nirbahi Officers to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to enforce the government directives to prevent the coronavirus outbreak.
