Chittagong Bureau :The workers conference of Jatiya Party(Kazi Jafar) was jeopardized in the port city on Friday by the supporters of Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad. The conference was supposed to be held at Muslim Institute hall in the city on Friday afternoon. On the other hand , the supporters of HM Ershad led Jatiya Party arranged alternative rally at central Shahid Minar infront of Muslim Institute. But police did not permit the programs of both groups of the party in same venue. Additional police forces have been deployed in the premises of of the venues and the police did not allow any worker of the JP(Zafar) to enter in the Muslim institute hall. Police also resisted a procession led by city Jatiya Party city President Solaiman Alam Shed while trying to proceed towards shahid minar. General secretary of Jatiya Party (Ershad) Tapan Chakraborty told that police did not allow permission to hold rally at Shahid Minar premises on April 2 last to press home their demand of withdrawing false and fabricated cases against Party Chairman HM Ershad. Kotwali thana officer incharge told this reporter that suspecting nuisances centring the counter political programs of both the groups of the JP, police did not allowed any of them. The effigy of Kazi Jafar was burnt by the supporters of Ershad led Jatiya Party at Kazir Dewri Crossing followed by protesting police role for declining permission to hold rallyat shahid minar. At the same time, Solaiman Alam Shed also termed Kazi Jafar as Mirzafar and we will not any activities of the Kazi Jafar led Jatiya Party in the port city in future.
