A worker died while setting up a deep tube-well at Santibag in Halishahar of Chittagong city on Wednesday.
Saiful Islam, 30, of Double Mooring area, was installing the tube-well when a rod chain, a piece of equipment needed for the installation, accidentally got tangled in his neck and suffocated him, Halishahar police said. He was declared dead at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
